Title: Bioremediation of Contaminated Groundwater in Canada – Regulatory Framework and a Case Study.

Basic information on projects Environmental Impact Assessments and Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality (GCDWQ) with bioremediation of contaminated groundwater case study will be presented.

Beata Gorczyca obtained a doctorate at University of Toronto in Collaborative Program in Environmental Engineering through the Department of Chemical Engineering.

In 2001, Beata Gorczyca joined Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba.

Beata’s research is in water treatment, physical/chemical and biological treatment, solid/liquid separation processes, analyses of flocs and biofilms, membrane filtration, water disinfection by-products, water distribution systems. She is an active member of Particle Specialist Group at the International Water Association and has been invited keynote speaker on a number of conferences.

Beata has published papers in Water Research, Environmental Technology, Water Science and Technology, Separation Science and Technology and Water Quality Research Journal (most available on ResearchGate).
